Long time no update! I have been so busy doing nothing. No, really.. it feels like I don't get a darn thing done, yet I am always busy, lol. What am I doing with my time?! It's crazy how each day slips away and at the end of the day when I sit on the couch I am usually staring off thinking to myself, "What the hell just happened?"
Tomorrow is the last day of school for all but one of our kids.. this mama is EXCITED!! I have been living in the car driving kids around with their different school schedules plus activities. Our car is barely a year old and has over 30k miles already!
Our summers get a little crazy with the different visitation between my four kids and then Seth's kids going away for a couple weeks to Texas and his random work travel he does, but we are definitely going to make the most of our time together.
Little H turns 7 on Saturday and we are going to an indoor trampoline park that the kids just have a blast at! On Sunday my oldest daughter Autumn arrives for the summer! I am SO excited! She's 15 and I really enjoy our more 'grown' conversations and time together. Monday, Memorial day, we are going to have a barbecue, sparklers, yummy treats and time together and remember those who gave their lives protecting ours.
May 30th our new deck furniture gets delivered. YAY! Perfect timing to enjoy through summer and early fall.
In June we have Alannah's big dance recital. She's been working so hard and I am excited to see it all come together. She's in multiple dances this year which is always fun... and expensive! The day after her recital three of my kiddos go to their dad's house for a few weeks, Seth's kids fly out to Texas to visit his family, and Seth leaves for a work trip in Florida for five days. So what does that mean for me? The teenager and I get to CHILL. I will miss Seth feeding me though! HA! He's a fantastic cook. I plan to do a lot of fun things with Autumn during our one-on-one time.
Late June, Seth, my four kids and I will start our road trip to Texas! We are meeting up with his kids and family at a beach house we all rented together. It is going to be AWESOME! I really love his family and I can not wait to have another memorable 4th of July with them! Fireworks in Texas are something else! Oh.. and we will be getting MARRIED! Just forty days away. We will be there about a week and then take our road trip back home with a few stops along the way for some sight seeing. REALLY hoping for Roswell, NM! Aliiiiens.
The rest of July will be pretty mellow other than going into a slight puddle of tears because my sweet Alannah will be THIRTEEN! I'll have two teenagers. Insanity! We're going to have a big llama themed party for her in August before school starts up.
In between all that we will throw in some adventuring, camping, late nights on the deck and swimming! If it's anything like last summer it'll fly by though. The kids will be back in school before I even realize it. The days are long, but the years are short... right?. It's so true.
But.. the start of the school year means our Moorea and Bora Bora trip is VERY close!
Let's raise a glass y'all.. we survived the school year! Cheers!
