The date. The location. The colors

Well, we've only changed our mind on how and when we will be getting married, where, and when about 5 times, so I can't make any promises, but I think this.is.it. and I am so EXCITED!

As I mentioned in our honeymoon planning post, we planned to keep our 'wedding' very simple. As in, pretty much just us in the mountains somewhere. Then we thought we would just do the court house thing.. Meh. Easy. Not exactly my first choice though and probably would've pushed from that the more I thought about it.

Then after some thinking and working around the million schedules of Seth's work, kids, travel in the summer, etc. we decided to get hitched this summer in Texas on the beach! July 3rd to be exact. It's perfect! We were planning to be there this summer as it is for our week long vacation over 4th of July with his family (like last year, which was AWESOME!). We went in on a very cool beach house along with his parents, sister and brother in law. So, looks like we will be having a little ceremony on the beach led by his mom! Yes, she's going to marry us! I think that is just so cool! (Yes, legally.. she's all legit! lol)

Part of me is really bummed that my huge family won't be there, but really, if we got married in California, they wouldn't be there anyways because it would've just been us. We will be having a big party/dinner planned for August for my family to attend though.

So, the planner in me is getting started on little details with the help of his mom and sister back in Texas. I found a dress.. a whole $125! Really pretty though and hopefully I won't look like a marshmallow in it. I pulled together a color palette which is one I had on my mind well before he proposed... because I'm crazy like that. Then I found the girl's dresses (All on Amazon!). One thing I really want is a good portrait of our family on the beach, seriously, I will be thrilled with 4 of 7 children looking at the camera! Possible?.. Doubt it. I see a lot of head swaps working my Photoshop skills in my future. I think the outfit ideas I have in mind will pull together nicely. The girls really wanted to dress up for the day, so why not? I found some really pretty dresses for great prices. The boys will all wear navy, grey, off white, and khaki.

Grey will be for Miss S (Seth's daughter), sparkles for Amelia, navy blue for Autumn, blush pink for Alannah.

What do y'all think?

The sage green is more of the added color in my bouquet and other floral arrangements. We are trying to get a wood arch with flowy fabric and flowers/greenery for us to get married under. I will probably make all the floral decor and ship it out to Texas beforehand. I really want to use a mix of Sola wood flowers. They are amazing! Most of you all know that I am a crazy DIYer, but flower arrangements have always been a challenge. I might just order off Etsy from a pro. We'll see.

And that's it for now! I am so very, very excited to marry my love. Now, if I can just get through writing vows without crying. I have been working on them the past few days while Seth has been away (He's 16 hours away from me for the next two weeks! Waaaaah) and I can't.stop.crying. All the emotions!

Big ol whine-bag.

... Before I go I feel the need to mention that I just said out loud to myself, "Holy crap, I need cake!" with Millie sitting on the couch next to me. She says, "You want a play-doh cake, mommy? I can make a pink play-doh cake!".  Anyways, now I am on a mission for a small cake for after we get married. How do I just forget CAKE? Who am I?!
